  • With Elizabeth Dann

    Location: STUDIO 16

    All levels | in-person only

You are invited to come as you are. This is an inclusive floor-based class where we practise relaxation. People at all stages of life are welcome. You do not need prior yoga experience.

You will take easeful restorative postures and stay for some time, supported by props including bolsters and blankets. The postures allow tension to melt away, and our breathing and nervous system to regulate. Over time, we learn that it is safe to relax and let go - a gently radical practice in a world of high pressure, stress and fatigue.

Restorative yoga invites a journey inward. You will be held in a peaceful and safe(-enough) environment with periods of silence. Class will end with guided relaxation, the practice of yoga nidra, which can facilitate deep rest equivalent to sleep.

Elizabeth will offer optional hands-on adjustments and massage to support relaxation.

If you are curious to try, please join us in class. You will be warmly welcomed.

  • With Islam White

    Location: STUDIO 16

    All levels | in-person only

Active-and-silent meditations use dance and other active methods to assist deep silence.

Different people find different approaches useful, so we’ll explore a wide range of Osho’s methods. Most evenings will start with 10 minutes of warm-up dance, then there will be a short meditation exercise to help everyone arrive, and then one of Osho’s one-hour meditation structures. Some (but not all) of the structures include dance and other movement. The focus is movement, silence, and the joy of being you.

    All are welcome :)
